The Green Advantage for Small Business program was developed by Edith Cowan University’s Small and Medium Enterprise Research Centre (SMERC) to deliver practical tools and advice to small business managers and operators about how to effectively improve environmental management and identify cost saving benefits.
Individually small businesses have an insignificant impact on the environment but collectively they leave a huge environmental footprint which could be as high as 60-70% of total pollution.
There are about 1.3 million small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) across Australia and the choices made by their owners and managers will make a real difference to the environmental future of Australia.
The program which is available in Western Australia is tailored to meet the unique needs of industrial and non-industrial small business.
